PROGRAMME FOR HIKING GROUP:<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

OVER THE POHORSKI GREBEN ALONG THE PATH OF SLOVENIAN MOUNTAIN TRAIL<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 days <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 1: VELIKA KOPA \u2013 \u010cRNI VRH \u2013 RIBNI\u0160KA KO\u010cA MOUNTAIN HUT \u2013 LOVREN\u0160KA JEZERA LAKES <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meeting the hiking guide at Grmov\u0161ek’s mountain hut under the Velika Kopa<\/strong> in the morning hours. One of the Pohorje ski slopes is nearby, which we will pass in the direction of \u010crni Vrh<\/strong>, the highest Pohorje\u2019s peak with 1.543 metres of sea level. Then there will be time for photos, continuing the hike over the Ribni\u0161ki Vrh peak up to the Ribni\u0161ka Ko\u010da<\/strong> mountain hut, where we will rest and take some refreshments. If preferred, we can take a walk to the Ribni\u0161ko Jezero lake<\/strong> (30-minute walk in one direction). We will continue the path towards the Lovren\u0161ka Jezera lakes<\/strong> and its remarkable nature. The horizon of plains of rare low firs will appear in front of us; among others summits of Jezerski Vrh, Mislinjski graben, Pa\u0161ki Kozjak, the hills of Savinjske Alpe, Kozjak and the mountains of the neighbouring Austria, where we see plains where, 200 years ago, stood vast forests, which the farmers cut down to acquire options for pastures. This is how the vast alpine pastures were formed, where sharp matgrass, arnica montana, Hungarian gentian, bearded bellflower, and false hellebores now grow. Then we will arrive at one of the Pohorje’s mountain huts in the late afternoon. We will settle in at our rooms, eat dinner, and enjoy the accommodation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 2: KLOPNI VRH \u2013 \u0160UMIK \u2013 AREH \u2013 BELLEVUE \u2013 MARIBOR <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hike starts after breakfast. We will head out to the Klopni Vrh<\/strong> and continue through the Pohorje primeval forest towards \u0160umik (to the Veliki \u0160umik waterfall)<\/strong>. What follows then, is the trail to Areh<\/strong> and visit to the St. Areh <\/strong>Church, hallowed to St. Henry. The last steps will take us to Bellevue<\/strong>, where the view to the Drava River and the second largest city in Slovenia will come into view \u2013 the city of the oldest vine in the world, Maribor.<\/strong> The descend with the gondola from Bellevue is 328 metres to the sea level, where the lower station of the Pohorje funicular or gondola is located. The programme is concluded by 7 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
